Magnificent Colorado Horse Park

South of Denver horse property, spectacular Parker real estate is the backdrop and home of the Colorado Horse Park.  The state-of-the-art grounds and newly designed tracks and obstacles are just waiting for your horse's agility to break them in while you enjoy the Rocky Mountain panoramas all around.  A hard working Draft horse for your Denver horse property will be right at home at the Draft Horse Show and Antique Car Display held at the Colorado Horse Park.

The Parker community is privileged to have an international equestrian competition center so close to Denver and Parker horse properties and hosting more than 30 events each year.  The impressive facility can accommodate a thousand horses in its 11 arenas boasting high-quality footing, 3 barns housing 300 permanent stalls, space for tents and portable stalls.  There are vendor areas, bleachers and RV parking.  Another complex offers cattle pens and facilities for western competitions.

Three Grand-Prix-Show jumping competitions and a very popular fall festival, Halloween with Horses, which draws 10,000 people top the list of events.  Then, there are The North American Young Riders Championships, the U.S. Equestrian Combined Driving Singles Championships, and, of course, the Draft Horse Show and dozens more wonderful gatherings.

The Park welcomes visitors and competitors to join the not-for-profit enterprise.  Your fluffy Draft horse could board right there in a heated stall with automatic waterers, daily cleaning, and a great menu!  Boarders and trainers use two indoor arenas, several pastures and paddocks, tack rooms and office spaces.  “We really listened to what the community and our members wanted from an equestrian membership,” says the Membership Coordinator Deborah Terry.

And that listening ear has paid off.  Individual memberships are less than $200 a year and family memberships are significantly lower per person.  Members can use the indoor arena, bridle path trails, special discipline days with equipment, discounts on cross-country course days and can take advantage of the members-only boarding.  In addition to the ticketed events, the Park offers ongoing weekend horse shows open to the public for no admission or parking fees, a policy that encourages curiosity about horsemanship.

But it’s not only about what you get.  Volunteers are the glue that makes the Park’s world spin.  Volunteers add enthusiasm.  They spend time with the horses and appreciate the high-energy competitions, helping with barrel racing, dressage, jumping, driving, Halloween with Horses, and other events.  They man the office and greet people.  Their contagious smiles lift up the day, whether or not they have any experience with horses!

The facility also rents indoor and outdoor space for private events.  So, if you need banquet rooms, indoor or outdoor arenas, covered pavilions or space for tents.  Or, if you need your event catered, be sure to contact the park at to learn about the options.

Events at this facility are vital to eventing in the western United States and draw competitors from around the country, some Olympians and some beginners.  The facility has hosted many horse trials.  While top designers, such as Olympic Gold Medallist and President of the United States Equestrian Federation David O’Connor, work to continually improve the courses, the Park ranks closer and closer to being recognized as a top-class international arena.  Right in our own back yard!
